Bento for Busy Student on a Diet

Hello, I'm a High-School student from U.S.A. who wants to make a lunch before beginning my classes so that I can just grab it and eat at 12:00 or 1:00 PM (lunch-time); the Japanese style of preparing lunch is handy for work and school. I don't like the process of cooking, but I like to put the individual pieces of the meal into my boxes and arrange it how I like in a cute or pretty way. It makes preparing food a little more exciting.

Hello from Argentina!

Hi, my name is Ana (a.k.a Elodia), and i live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I really like japanese food and practically like to try every new dish I can. Once i learnt about bentos and found such wonderfull webs aroun about them, I couldn`t help it, I had to try. I started preparing easy stuff, but my main problem is getting the ingredients here. I'm on a diet, and my nutricionist says I can't eat that much rice, so I eat mainly veggies and chicken, which is very boring!

Good morning from Texas

I've been wrangling bento for my tiny family for a few months now, and decided it was finally time to stop lurking in the shadows. Of the 4 bentos I make (almost daily) 3 of them absolutely refuse to eat a laundry list of items normally found within the usual bento lineup. Adding to those requirements a few food allergies (peanuts, lactose, tomatoes..) and the different objectives of each box eater, two for weight loss, one for weight gain/maintenance, and one to not feel absolutely starving by the time school finally lets out.. it's been interesting.

Hello from England!~

Hi guys, I'm Megin, almost 18, from southern England. I'm new to bentoing, so a lot of this is really new to me, but I'm already looking forward to meeting you guys and trying out a few recipes that I've seen already!~ I've also ordered a super cute Hanako bento box, can't wait for it to arrive. Any tips to share for a newbie? ;D

Hello from Atlanta, Georgia, USA!

Hi everyone! I am a first-year biomedical engineering student at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I stumbled upon this site while researching bento ideas and what not. I found bento to be the perfect solution for a healthy yet delicious lunch or dinner on the go. I am often far from my dorm because my classes and labs are spread all over the campus. I thoroughly enjoying cooking and baking in general (though I currently don't have kitchen access because I live in a dorm) and love to try out new things.

Hello from Northern Ontario

Hello - I'm Rebecca and live in northern ontario in Canada - which makes finding bento supplies and some ingredients a challenge. I make a couple of trips to Toronto every year for tournaments and know that I'll be stocking up on ingredients that I can't find here during those trips.

Hi from Poland!

Hello! I'm ninteen years old, polish art academy student. I'm big fan of cooking, not only japanese stuff, but cooking in general. In bento I'm still newbie, I've made only few so far. But now, I'm studying and working at the same time, and spending more time apart my dear kitchen, so I think I've got enough good excuse to bring little cute boxed meal with me every day.
