What can I do with Mochigome?

I accidentally purchased mochigome instead of Japanica rice - apparently, the cheap supermarket around her stocks the former but not the latter! I've since bought more rice, but I was wondering what-all I could do with the mochigome other than seikhan? I tried using it in place of normal rice in a bento with disastrous results. Thanks!

As well as sekihan, another classic dish is kuri-okowa. And perfect timing as we are just coming up to Chestnut season (those of us in the Northern hemisphere)

Ever dependable Maki has already provided a recipe:

(adding plenty of chestnuts will make the okowa become kuri-okowa)

Oh wow, how did I miss that? This looks perfect - a simple recipe allowing for a number of variations so it won't get boring. Thanks, Loretta!
