Hello guys!
I want to show you my first attempt to make inarizushi from scratch including frying the aburaage and cut pouches into it. I have read here that it would be impossible to do them at home, because there are special processes to be made by machine.
But mine came out pretty well, so maybe you wanna try it, too! :) I just love inarizushi in Bento! <3

My blog is in german language, but you can read in english using google translate, which is in the right sidebar.
I also will put the recipe for inarizushi online in a few days :)

That is very cool. I tried it last year and had only about a 25% success rate. I think I may have cut my slices too thin maybe, because the ones that did puff up were perfect, but the ones that didn't just turned into crisp wafers.

I think it turns out quite good! :) Enjoy!
Your post is great, but unfortunately Google is not so good at translating recipes from German to English, but I was able to click a not well labeled (at least not when translated) link to this page http://shizuokagourmet.wordpress.com/2009/06/02/tofu-recipe-aburaage/
Which has a very nicely explained recipe in English originally, and is easier to understand.
I've never really fried anything, but I love the inarizushi at my local sushi restaurant so much, I want to try it. And the recipe is very clear.
Thank you for your post.
Thank your rosefaery! :)
Yes google translation is a not that good, but I'm too busy (or lazy *ggg*) to wright alle my recipes in a second language ^^°
I'm happy you found the link to shizuoka gourmet. It's a great food blog and I love it, too! I will try to label all the links a little better for my english readers, too. Thank you! :)
I need to learn how to make these!!! :D And when I do , I will definately post them up on my blog.
Please check out my food blog!
