Hi from Poland!

Hello!
I'm ninteen years old, polish art academy student. I'm big fan of cooking, not only japanese stuff, but cooking in general. In bento I'm still newbie, I've made only few so far. But now, I'm studying and working at the same time, and spending more time apart my dear kitchen, so I think I've got enough good excuse to bring little cute boxed meal with me every day.
Aside cooking, I'm interested in fashion and design, theatre, movies, books, art in general. Also, I adore Japanese culture (yeah, manga and anime includes). I've been training kendo for about a year and half, but had to make a short break because of my final highschool exams. I'm trekkie and sf fan (TRUE nerd). Also, beeing a nerd, I love games, esspecially adventure ones (Monkey Island, Syberia). Also, I LOVE motorcycles. And old cars. And RETRO in general. But the most motorcycles.

Zelda is a great name for a SF gaming fan.
I wouldn't have guessed that manga was well known in Poland. It is not well known in New Zealand. Have manga been translated into Polish or do you read them in English?

Yes, manga is very popular in Poland, esspecially now. You can say, it's in fashion last years amog teenagers. For about 12 years we have anime and manga conventions. A lot of manga had been published in Poland, we have got about 4 active publishers that publish manga and manhwa and 2 that publish anime. It's easy to find them in bookstores in shopping centers, but we have also comic shops where you can find also english, german or orginal japanese editions, as well as many gadgets, badges, artbooks... We have few groups of artists, who are making them themselfs! Also, there is a few anime airing on TV, even mature ones as Nana, Gankutsuou or Mononoke. Of course, at conventions we have cosplay competitions (I'm a cosplayer myself :3), and sometimes over 100 cosplayers are taking part!
