Hi! I found this site through the Ravelry group. I've flipped through Flickr sets for years, but was so thrilled to find this site, esp. the meal planner sheets and fancy cutting instructions. Apple boat, ho!
I've been packing bento for my (omnivore) son for four years and will start packing one for my (dairy, egg, nut allergic) daughter this year. My bento tend to be more utilitarian than kawaii, but I do try to include a lot of colors and recently made my first road trip to Mitsuwa Market to gather picks, cups, little grass dividers and wee soy sauce bottles. I had two practice runs this week with half-day snack bento, and will start my full-on two bento per day schedule next week.

Hi. Nothing wrong with utilitarian bento. Mine are all like that - but then I make them for me. I might be tempted to go the kawaii route sometimes if I was making them for children. Welcome to Just Bento.
