Hi, my name is Ana (a.k.a Elodia), and i live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I really like japanese food and practically like to try every new dish I can. Once i learnt about bentos and found such wonderfull webs aroun about them, I couldn`t help it, I had to try. I started preparing easy stuff, but my main problem is getting the ingredients here.
I'm on a diet, and my nutricionist says I can't eat that much rice, so I eat mainly veggies and chicken, which is very boring!
Last week I received my new bento box, which I first used on sunday, with some grilled chicken, tomato salad, ommelete and some oniguiris, with tangerine for desert.
Anyways, im really happy to learn how to cook and, most of all, take care of myself, in a funny and nice way!
Cheers!
Elo-

hi there elodia!
my sister-in-law is from argentina, i gather you've got a nice fusion kind of cuisine there. have fun with your bento-boxing and wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllcome to the forum!
(i didn't pack enough carbs today so i just had to midnight-snack on rye brad, cream cheese and smoked trout. everybody should have smoked trout! ohmyGOD. so good! go out now and buy some if you can get it. i'm slightly drunk, rough night, pardon)
thanks for the warm welcome!
I will post some stuff about argentine cuisine if you like! we have a lot of different foods here. I love trout, but here is so &%$/%$ expensive, and my hubby hates fish, so I eat fish when he is not around.
I'm in those days of the month, and i can“t eat, or sleep... had half grilled aubergine and a hamburguer(but couldnt finish it), here is too hot and heavy, summer is going to suck a lot...
Oh yum, smoked trout. It's 11pm here and I could just use a bit of a snack. You're making my mouth water.

Mmmm, ravioli bento!
I'm afraid most of what I know about Argentina is from Mafalda (I suspect she wouldn't like miso shiru very much) I have a real soft spot for Quino.
Looking forward to learning more.
Bienvenida!
Thanks for the welcome Loretta! I love Mafalda too, I'm reallly fond of a "toda Mafalda" autographied copy I own! I also like his other works. To be honest, I wasn't much of a soup eater since I moved from my parents to Buenos Aires, and realizad that they're cheap and healthy :D
