Hiya from Hobart

Hi! My name is Stephanie, I'm fifteen and recently stumbled upon this site while searching up the term 'laptop lunches'. Since that fateful day less than a month ago, I've bought myself two bento boxes, a cupboard full of Japanese ingredients and a whole lot of mochi (it's so delicious!). I've cooked a few recipies from Just Bento-- not very well, but they tasted okay. I look forward to cooking more bento for my school lunches in the future.

Maki, if you ever read this, I just wanted to thank you for opening up a whole new world of food to me. Your efforts are appreciated!

Hi hi from Southern California!!

Hello everyone! ^____^ It's nice to meet you all! I'm sure we will exchange lots of nice recipes and thoughts and ideas and stuff!

I'm a sweet girl from that oh-so sunny place. I'm not a health nut, I just love fruits and veggies!
My favorite fruits are berries (especially strawberries!)
I started to make bento lunches for me, and snacks for my boyfriend.
most of them are fruit and veggie based, but I love me some dairy products! x3

So, does anyone else live in Cali?
do you cook for a loved one?
do you love strawberries? continue reading...

Howdy from Texas!

I FINALLY got my first bento boxes today! I ordered them from Ichiban-Kan (for only $1.50 each!!!) I've already filled them with my and my fiancé's lunches for tomorrow ^_^ I'm so excited! I LOVE the idea of making cute lunches from what you already have at home. I need to lose a few pounds and save a few bucks so finding this community and way of eating will really help me. continue reading...

Haha I figured I'd throw in an screwball since everyone basically says "hello from____".

I'm originally from Fresno, CA but am living on and off in San Jose,CA for college.
I'm 18 years old.
I'm a full-time student at SJSU.

I'm a fatty that needs to lose weight.
I love cute things and REALLY want to start making bentos.

I've got a bad habit of purchasing things that I have plans for, but never actually pursuing those plans.
But that's why I'm here to get ideas for bento's.

Hi everybody!

Hi! I'm a college student taking a break because of health problems. I love almost everything about Japan, I even made my own website called Sugoi Japan. I've been playing the clarinet for about 14 years. I know about 8 languages. I've just got into bento making, in fact, today was my first day. I've been wanting to make them for a while, but today I got up the nerve to do one. I don't eat pork or shellfish, because of my religion, but it seems there's lots of other options. continue reading...

Hello from just outside Boston!

My name is Margo. I have been avidly reading this site as well as a couple other bento sites. I have made bentos unknowingly for a while, and wanted to learn more things I could do for lunches.

I currently have a fit and fresh lunch on the go kit that I use, and just ordered a set of lock & locks to expand my bento containers (curse you amazon for being out of stock and won't deliver until early may!). continue reading...
