Registering as a new member on the forum - new requirements

UPDATE: The forum is currently closed to new members, until I have time to update the backend that runs it. People are still sending in join requests though, so I've closed the comments here for now. When the forums re-open, you'll hear it on the main site. In the meantime, if you want to join a Just Bento community and you're on Facebook, please consider following the Facebook Page.

Please welcome Loretta as a forum moderator!

I'm very happy to welcome Loretta as a forum moderator! As you probably know already, she's always been tremendously helpful around here. She has great knowledge of both European and Japanese cultures, since she's living in London and married to a Japanese guy, and bringing up her little girl to be multicultural! She'll be joining Bronwyn and yours truly as your overlords...I mean, friendly moderators ^_^

Just Bento is 2 years (and a month) old!

October came and went so quickly for me, that I completely forgot that it marked the 2 year anniversary of Just Bento! The site has grown so much in such a short time. And it's thanks to you - yes, you, I'm pointing to you! ^_^ Seriously, the people who post frequently to the forums are the backbone of the site...I dare not mention names, unless I leave out someone inadvertently. But, extra-special thanks go to Bronwyn, who helps moderate out the bad seeds, of which there are thankfully just a few. Thank you so much for helping this site to prosper!

Report any forum spammers here

With the growing popularity of Just Bento and the forum, we have some idiots joining here trying to spoil things for everyone. We try to stamp out the spammers as fast as possible, but sometimes we can't see what they are doing, such as when they spam individual forum members.

If you are spammed in a private message, or see a spammy comment or topic posted, please report the user here. Thanks!

A message to the JustBento community

As you know, Japan was hit by a devastating earthquake on March 11, 2011. The epicenter was off the north-eastern coast of Honshu, the main island of the Japanese archipelago. Much of that coastline has been destroyed. Thousands are dead, more are still missing. There are supply-line problems due to destroyed harbors and damaged roads (now gradually getting solved) that are causing more people to suffer and even die. And there's the ongoing, serious situation at the Fukushima No. 1 (Daiichi) nuclear power plant.
