Hi all, I made this : http://www.grouprecipes.com/55939/savoury-sweet-glutinous-sticky-rice.ht... a couple of weeks ago. Yum! To make it gluten free I didn't add the sausage and added some chinese five spice powder (which I figured would give a similar flavour to the sausage). It bentoed beautifully, even from frozen. Though it's not very photogenic.

All the chinese sausage I've found has wheat flour listed as an ingredient. Which is very sad because it is very tasty!
I'm not sure why leaving out the sausage would make it gluten free...maybe you meant meat-free? (not vegetarian I guess, still has the dried shrimp) But in any case sticky rice is really great for bento, since it stays nice and moist. Looks like a very tasty recipe!
There's also a recipe for a vegan okowa here which is a Japanese take on sticky rice with stuff in it.
The Big Onigiri.

Some sausages have "can contain traces of gluten" written on them. Even if they do not contain flour or similar things. So not using something pre made is staying on the save side
