Hi Maki,
I've been downloading a bunch of the pdf versions of your recipes, and I've noticed that in at least one case, the file has omitted parts of sentences (the one I noticed is in the gomashio furikake article, where the pdf file says "I think I'd want a bit more than that in my bento box, but there osekihan Japanese azuki beans and rice.").
The pdf files also seem to turn apostrophes into question marks (though to be honest, I don't really care about this problem so much). I'm not sure if one or both of these problems can be attributed to a software problem on my end. If so, sorry for the trouble! Any suggestions as to what I can do to fix it would be great. Let me know if you need the versions/types of the programs I'm running.
As always, love the site. I made the red peppers with maple syrup and chili today for dinner, and they were delicious.

wanpo, it's definitely nothing to do with your settings. The PDF module I am using seems to be very basic, and has a limited font set. It doesn't handle 2-byte characters (Japanese) so if I put any Japanese in, you will get a row of ????s or just blank. I am sorry about that but the alternative at the moment is to use a VERY slow PDF rendering thingy which may affect the site performance. So...I know it's flawed but hopefully it's tolerable..otherwise, the regular Printer Friendly option should print out all the text properly :(

Ah ok. Just checking :) I think it's the first time I've seen a pdf file actually cut words out, so I was a bit confused. But the pdf option is still wonderfully useful. Thanks!
