food identification?

I figured I might try asking this here, since some of you seem like seasoned food people (no pun intended)
There was this vietnamese dish I about 6 years ago from an old friend's parents. It was this yellow pancakey like thing that had vegetables (like green onion) and shrimp incorporated into it, and it was i supposed fried. It resembled egg in my opinion, as it was fluffy and dark yellow though all together in one piece. They served it with fish sauce on the side, and rice noodles.
It was oh so good! but I have no idea what it was haha.

if it was korean then I'd say it really resemble Haemul, but if it'as vietnamnese I really don't know haha
you know, it actually kind of looks like that. I assume it's vietnamese because the family was vietnamese lol. I instantly thought to ask after that recipe you posted xD
I know very little about Vietnamese cuisine (trying to learn more, helps that I work in an area with lots of Vietnamese shops and restaurants).

The image in my head is similar to this:

that banh xeo thing seems to be a likely candidate, because of the turmeric powder it would be a pretty yellow colour.. wikipedia says that it's sometimes made with coconut milk, i'd try this. coconut milk makes lovely fragrant pancakes, it might be the "secret ingredient" in this one.
