Thought some might like to see what I found in the back of my kitchen drawer.
This I think came with a lot of my late Mother-in-Law's kitchen stuff. She liked to shop at second hand stores for fun and came home with a lot of cool things, like this Canape Cutter set from Japan. Don't know how old it is, but the tag on the back says $1. To me it looks a lot like the little veggie cutters for bento. They are actually a little too small for regular canapes, and they are in good shape and sooo cute!
here's a picture.

These look like they could be fun. I have several small cookie cutters that I use lots but these would be even better. I'll have to start looking closer at garage sales and thrift shops. Thanks for sharing.
I love vintage/antique kitchen stuff! These look like they would be great for cutting out shapes for bentos!

I am positively in love with the whole package.
They are gorgeous. They look as though they'd be good for cake decorating too.

Oh wow! I found that exact same set at a yard sale in southern CA a few years back and bought it for my mom (who collects old cookie cutters). Your is in gorgeous condition! Great find. :)

Very pretty indeed! :)
Thanks all! I used one last week to make cucumber rings. Took cucumber slices and used the larger round one with the scalloped edge to cut out the seeds from each slice. It was the perfect size and the scallops looked very pretty.
I found a set of 15 cutters today. They are small enough to cut even small carrots, the ones that are still really sweet. I thing I will use them the first time on next mondays bento
That's great! Have fun! I can't wait to see what you do with them!
Here is my first use of them. My last week monday bento. I have two more ideas I will try in week 4
They look great!
Oooo! I love them! Looks like clovers and fler de lis. Very good job!
Those are awesome. I don't have any "mini" cutter that are good for bento. I guess I'll have to go over to mom's house and see if she has any treasures in the back of her drawers (that didn't quite sound right! ha ha). I love the mini carrots.
I found mine in a special shop for baking-pans and cookie cutters. So if you come to Berlin you may can look there. It is called "Bakusilius" a little really nice shop
