I have 2 questions that need answers please!
Firstly, I live in the Uk, Northern Ireland to be specific and I'd like to get a spam musubi mould (mold).
Japan Centre in London, don't stock them online and I have no desire to join ebay to get fleeced for one! Anyone got any sugestins on how I can get one? I have resorted to using the spam can a mould, but it's a bit perilous on the fingers!!!
Secondly, can anyone point me in the direction of a tamagoyaki tutorial? I have tried several times to make these, I usually end up wit a regular omelette or scrambled eggs and I'd really like to use this in my benos.

To be honest, I'm not sure I've ever seen a specialised onigiri (or sushi) press intended for this Hawaiian food. As I don't eat pork it's not something I've ever experimented with.
Because of this I don't know if you can press spam onto or into rice using a regular sushi or onigiri/omusubi mold.
The Japancentre in London does have inexpensive molds for sushi and onigiri

I'm sorry I can't guarantee that either the sushi press or the onigiri press will be suitable.
If I was going to try this myself (for instance, if I did eat pork and wanted to try combining spam and rice together to see if I liked it) I'd probably use a bamboo makizushi mat and some clingfilm/sarin wrap. I'd lay some clingfilm onto the bamboo mat, lay some rice on top of this, cut the spam into long thick pieces and lay it end to end across the centre of the rice. For me, this has always been the most successful method of wrapping rice around 'awkward' ingredients.
I have seen spam musubi molds, on cookingcute.com i think, but unfortunately I'm not quite sure where to get them, sorry.
You really don't need a mold for making spam musubi. Just make a square onigiri that fits a slice of Spam (the spam has to be panfried first, with a little soy sauce and sometimes a bit of sugar applied to the surface). Press the rice to the Spam slice. There are lots of instructions on the web for making Spam musubi. (I have to say that I really don't get what's so hot about Spam musubi...I think it's more of a nostalgia thing with people who grew up eating it in Hawaii! People in S. Korea and Okinawa like Spam too, for some reason, in stir fries and such. I just don't get it... ^_^;)

Daughter and I love spam musubis. In fact daughter will just eat fried spam on its own!! I have as I mentioned, been using the spam can as a mould (mold) but its a bit dodgy on the fingers! :(
I think I kinda had a result with tamgoyaki. Will try more at the weekend as my hubs is currently in the process of wiring in a new hob and oven for me. Does a square tamagoyaki pan make them any easier to make? just wondered as I'm currently using an omelette pan.

I bought a little rectangular tamagoyaki pan when I was in Australia last. You get a more even roll of egg, but they are actually harder to use. I found I needed to use cooking chopsticks to start rolling it. Couldn't get into the corners to start the rolling process with a spatula or fish slice the way you can with a round pan.
