Here's my ninja as he contemplates how to infiltrate a castle.
He's very cute. The castle looks a little like a Japanese snowman!

I made the mistake of thinking this might be one of those quirky Japanese calendar days like:
the 29th of the month being "meat day" (2+9 ni+kyu sounds like niku=meat)
The 12th of the month (and 2nd October) is tofu day (explained here http://kimikokitani.blogspot.com/2009/02/tofu-no-hi-day-of-tofu.html)
Those who like baked goods get a day too http://kimikokitani.blogspot.com/2009/02/bisuketto-no-hi-day-of-biscuit.... (I hadn't known about this one! Or about Nori day on the 6th February http://kimikokitani.blogspot.com/2009/02/nori-no-hi-day-of-nori.html)
22nd January is Jazz day (Ja22) It is also Curry Day (but I've never found out why http://blog.realestate-tokyo.com/archives/50573128.html )
And lest we forget another important task related to eating
4th June is oral hygiene day (explanation http://kimikokitani.blogspot.com/2009/06/mushiba-yobo-de.html )
And I like Bath Day (the 26th of the month http://kimikokitani.blogspot.com/2009/02/furo-no-hi-day-of-bath.html) when lots of Public Sento and Onsen give discounted entry
(Here's a list of the more traditional days: http://www.nnh.to/ - Japanese only, still haven't found this calendar in English)
Sorry, I don't much like the ninja burger/ninja day concept and I lack the grace and diplomacy to explain why.
